"A Boy and His Dog" is the eighth episode of season one of the suspense thriller series Bates Motel. The episode was directed by Ed Bianchi and written by Bill Balas based on story concepts developed by Kerry Ehrin, Carlton Cuse and Anthony Cipriano. It first aired on A&E on Monday, May 6th, 2013. In this episode, Norman Bates brings the body of Juno to Will Decody. Norman develops an interest in taxidermy and Decody offers to take him on as an apprentice. At school, Emma Decody overhears some girls speaking ill of Norman - in particular about his relationship with Bradley Martin. Emma reveals that Norman and Bradley have slept togther, which has consequences later. Dylan Massett partners up with another worker named Remo and Gil sends them out to pick up a new harvest. Norma Bates tries to manipulate Sheriff Romero into getting her a seat on the city's planning board so she can try to stop plans for the construction of an overpass, which threatens the success of her business. Romero doesn't take kindly to Norma's presumptions about whatever relationship the two may have with one another.
