A barista is a person who is trained to prepare and serve coffee and related food stuffs at a coffee house. If you're really nice, they might even give you a free scone, or maybe make that little heart-shaped foam thing at the top of your coffee that douche bags seem to love so much.
In the 2009 remake of Halloween II, the character of Mya Rockwell was a young woman who lived in Haddonfield, Illinois and worked as a barista at Uncle Meat's Java Hole, along with Laurie Strode and Harley David.
On MTV's Scream: The Series, there is a coffee shop called the Grindhouse. Teenager Emma Duval got a job there working as a barista in 2015. The following year, newcomer Eli Hudson began working there as well.
On Scream Queens, college student Pete Martinez worked at a coffee shop called The Grind located on the campus of Wallace University. His least favorite customer was Chanel Oberlin, a complete pain in the ass, who insisted on having her "Trenta, no foam, five-shot half-caf, no foam pumpkin spice latte with no foam at 210 degrees".
