The Amityville clock is a fictional cursed relic featured in the Amityville Horror film series. It appeared in the sixth installment of the franchise, Amityville 1992: It's About Time.
Description[]
The so-called Amityville clock was left behind, possibly by the Lutz family, at their haunted Long Island home at 112 Ocean Avenue. As the house itself had fallen prey to a malevolent demonic entity, it stands to reason that items within the home might also become cursed relics.
In 1992, California architect Jacob Sterling accepted an assignment to design a suburban neighborhood based on the Dutch Colonial style he found in Amityville. Jacob found the clock and brought it back to his home town of Burlwood, but immediately thereafter, strange things began occurring in the Sterling residence. The clock would disappear from the place where Jacob placed it, only to reappear on the mantle in the living room. Efforts to relocate the clock were fruitless and as time went on, more strange things began occurring to the Sterling family.
After a string of macabre deaths and the seeming distortion of the timestream itself, Jacob's former girlfriend, art student Andrea Livingston took matters into her own hands and smashed the clock. With the destruction of the item, the curse that plagued the Sterlings came to an end.
