"Needlenose" Norton was a supporting character featured in the Child's Play film franchise. He was played by actor Michael Louis Johnson and appeared in the fourth installment of the series Bride of Chucky.
Biography[]
Norton was a police officer who worked in the town of Lockport, Illinois. He was the crony of police chief Warren Kincaid and could be relied upon to carry out Kincaid's orders no matter how unscrupulous they appeared to be.
Chief Kincaid was very strict when it came to the actions of his teenage niece Jade. He particularly didn't care for the fact that Jade was romantically attached to a young man named Jesse. In order to discourage their relationship, Warren had "Needlenose" Norton pull Jesse's van over for random spot checks at every given opportunity. During one of these instances, he even found a bag of marijuana in the van, which had actually been planted by Chief Kincaid to set Jesse up.
What Norton didn't realize was that Jesse was hired to transport two dolls from Illinois to Hackensack, New Jersey. Moreover, the dolls were actually living repositories for the souls of noted serial killers Charles Lee Ray and his lover Tiffany. Unfortunately for Norton, his persistent harassment of Jade and Jesse put a crimp in Chucky's plans. To get him out of the way, he sneaked out of Jesse's van, crawled over to Norton's squad car and shoved a piece of cloth into the gas tank and set it on fire. The car exploded and Norton was killed. Jade and Jesse were initially blamed for the crime, as well as several other questionable deaths, but were later exonerated.
